How to migrate from Buzzsprout to EasyCast

Buzzsprout has clean export. The migration is straightforward — most of the work is updating Apple Podcasts and Spotify with your new feed URL.

   Export your feed and back catalog from Buzzsprout

   Buzzsprout has a Tools → Move my podcast feature that exports the RSS feed and lets you redirect once you’re ready. Download the back-catalog MP3s separately.

   Import into EasyCast

   Use /imports to upload the back-catalog MP3s and replicate metadata (titles, descriptions, dates, transcripts if you have them). Existing GUIDs are preserved so listeners don’t see duplicate episodes.

   Submit the new feed to Apple Podcasts and Spotify

   Get your new EasyCast feed URL from podcast settings. In Apple Podcasts Connect, use the "Move feed" tool. On Spotify, point at the new URL in the dashboard.

   Set up a 301 redirect from the old Buzzsprout feed

   Buzzsprout supports this in their dashboard. Apple updates within hours; Spotify within a week. Subscribers keep their subscriptions, downloads count is preserved.

   Move recording + editing in (optional)

   If you record/edit elsewhere today and only used Buzzsprout for hosting, you can keep that flow and just upload finished MP3s to EasyCast. Or bring recording in via /studio/record. Switch as much or as little as you want.

Will my Buzzsprout statistics carry over?

Episode-by-episode download counts stay on Buzzsprout — those are tied to their player. New downloads from the redirected feed accumulate on EasyCast. Total subscriber count effectively transfers via the 301 redirect; Apple Podcasts ranking is preserved.

Does EasyCast have IAB-certified analytics?

Not yet — Buzzsprout has the formal certification. Our analytics dashboard tracks downloads, retention, geography, and platform; we’re working toward formal certification but it’s not ours today. If IAB certification is a hard requirement for your sponsors, Buzzsprout is the safer choice on this one specific axis.

Can I keep using Buzzsprout for hosting and just use EasyCast for recording + AI?

Yes. Record and run AI post in EasyCast, export the finished MP3, upload to Buzzsprout for hosting. You get our recording + AI flow without changing your host. Many teams do exactly this for the first month before fully migrating.

Why is Buzzsprout cheaper at the entry tier?

Buzzsprout is hosting-only. Cheaper per-month because the scope is narrower. EasyCast’s entry tier ($29/mo Pro) bundles recording + editing + AI + hosting — typically less than (a recording tool + a host + an AI tool) summed. Compare what you actually need, not just the sticker.

How does Buzzsprout’s 17 years of operating history affect my decision?
